A credit union is a nonprofit organization created to serve its members' financial needs. Working as a cooperative, members deposit money into share accounts, which establishes a source of funds for making loans to members. Interest is charged for use of the money.

With the interest received from loans, the credit union pays its costs of operation, maintains a required reserve, retains earnings for future growth, and pays a high return on share investments to the membership in the form of dividends. Each year members elect directors from the membership to manage their credit union.

Who we are...

Wesley Medical Credit Union was founded in 1958 by eight employees of Wesley Hospital. We now have more than $5 million in assets and serve in excess of 1,500 members. We got our start with Wesley, but we are available to staff, employees or members of healthcare related businesses and organizations. Immediate family of existing members are also eligible for membership.

We're convenient...

The most convenient way to save or repay a loan is through payroll deduction. We offer this service to most of our members through agreements with their employers. Direct deposit (payroll savings, government, Social Security) is also available.

 Stop by the Wesley Medical Credit Union office any weekday. We are here to serve you Monday through Thursday from 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m.,  Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
